The documentary series Expedição Solar tells the fascinating story of the global energy transition, exploring seven different countries, including Brazil. Through a detailed look, the production opens up lands in nations such as the United States, Germany, United Arab Emirates, China, Japan and Australia. The objective is to understand how each country works tirelessly to transform its energy scenario, abandoning fossil and polluting sources in favor of clean and renewable alternatives.

In Brazil, expectations for the growth in the use of solar energy are very positive. According to data from the Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association (ABSOLAR), 9.4 GW will be added to the grid by the end of 2024, resulting in a total of 45.5 GW of installed capacity. Furthermore, renewable sources comprise 83.79% of the country's entire electrical matrix, making it an international reference in clean energy. The solar source added 3 GW to the Brazilian energy matrix, while the winds were responsible for an increase of 3.2 GW to the National Interconnected System (SIN).

The Solar Expedition is an invitation to explore the possibilities and challenges that permeate the search for a sustainable future. Changing perspectives regarding energy consumption is essential to reversing the current climate instability that threatens the foundations of our existence. It's inspiring to see how individuals and initiatives are making a difference in clean energy production around the world.
